About Myself

I am Dr. B.D. GIRIGOSAVI at present working in the D.D. Shinde Sarkar College, Kolhapur as a Principal. It’s my pleasure to present personal profile on college website.

I have completed my M.Com. M. Phil, Ph. D. and DIT in Commerce from Shivaji University Kolhapur. I have also received Professorship in Commerce and Management from the same university. I was the member of Board of Studies (Business Management Board).

I have thirty-three years’ experience of teaching. I was working in The New College, Kolhapur. I have also experience as a Co-coordinator. Besides I had been worked as head of the Commerce Department for last seven years. I had been the members of LMC (At present it has renamed as College Development Committee (CDC)) and IQAC.

During my tenure of 33 years, I have worked on almost all committees of the college I had been the Chairman of Discipline Committee, NSS program officer, Chairman of Cultural Committee, Chairman of Admission Committee. I also worked as Chief Editor of ‘NEW’S BULLETIN’ which had been published quarterly in my previous college.

I have been writing text books and SIMs of the Shivaji University, Kolhapur which includes 19 text books for B. Com- I, II and III for English medium students and 03 SIMs for MBA and 04 SIMs for B. Com-I and also 01 Marathi medium text book for B. Com-III Students. Besides there are 17 research articles published in different international journals. I also worked as Resource Person in seminars and workshops.
